Know Your Body

We are a Voluntary Organisation that is campaigning for a quality assured service in order to diagnose and treat breast cancer in Malta and Gozo. We work towards strengthening everyone’s awareness on the danger of cancer and its repercussions on themselves and their loved ones.

It offers the following services:

- professional psychological support for Breast Cancer patients and their families/partners at their premises in Mosta

- as Breast Cancer survivors themselves, members of the group be-friend and give one-to-one support to breast cancer patients that contact the Foundation

- provides a free brassier to mastectomy patients from Mater Dei Breast Clinic

- raises awareness about possible environmental factors that may contribute to cancer through their affiliation with Health Environmental Alliance

- educate about cancer prevention and lifestyle choices to students in schools and to adults in their workplaces and in other locations

Il-Fondazzjoni toffri s-servizzi li ġejjin:

- appoġġ psikoloġiku professjonali għall-pazjenti tal-Kanċer tas-Sider, il-familji u l- partners tagħhom fil-post tagħhom

- membri tal-grupp jagħtu appoġġ fuq bażi ndividwali għal pazjenti tal-kanċer tas-sider meta jikkuntattjaw l-Fondazzjoni

- tipprovdi brassier bla ħlas lil-pazjenti minn Breast Clinic ta’ Mater Dei

- tqajjem kuxjenza dwar il-fatturi ambjentali li jistgħu jikkontribwixxu għall-kanċer permezz ta’ l-affiljazjoni mal-Health Environment Alliance

- jedukaw dwar prevenzjoni tal-kanċer u stil ta’ ħajja' lill-istudenti fl-iskejjel u lill-adulti fil-postijiet tax-xogħol tagħhom u f'postijiet oħra
